Our largest Connecticut college campus, Southington, (formerly Briarwood College) is located on 43 acres in a suburban setting at the base of Mount Southington in Connecticut, just minutes from lively Queen Street, popular for its many stores and restaurants. Also nearby are the famous Lake Compounce Amusement Park and Golf Quest, a family sports center, both places where many of our students find part-time employment, just about three miles from campus.
Residential students under 25 years of age will find two on-campus halls available during the fall and spring semesters. Eder Hall is a townhouse apartment complex with 20 apartments, each featuring a furnished living room, full sized kitchen (where you can save money by cooking your own meals), full bathroom and three bedrooms on the second floor. Each will accommodate seven or eight students, and all bedrooms have cable, telephone and internet access. Eder Hall also offers laundry facilities, a comfortable lobby area complete with computers, and a student lounge for socializing.
Palmisano Hall, our other residential location, offers six spacious, air-conditioned, five-bedroom apartments which typically house up to 13 students. These apartments also feature furnished living rooms, full-sized kitchens, two full bathrooms, laundry facilities and two lounges, including one with computers.
As with our other campuses, Southington can offer you plenty of extra-curricular activities, such as intercollegiate and intramural sports. In fact, as part of the NJCAA Division III, we offer men’s and women’s basketball. Our teams play a very exciting and competitive schedule against in-conference and non-conference schools from all around New England and New York State. There are also a variety of intra-mural sports in which students can participate, including co-ed softball, beach volleyball, flag-football, cheerleading, wiffle-ball and basketball.
And if all these sports aren’t enough, there are also a variety of clubs to join, frequent and fun campus life activities and regular popular events such as guest lectures, bingo, pizza parties, water pong, movie nights, cooking lessons and much, much more. You’ll even have the convenience of a van service to take you easily, quickly and safely to shopping malls and local restaurants.
Of course, Southington also offers its commuter students an equally vital and active role in campus life at Lincoln College of New England. So you can still take part in all of the school’s organizations and activities while also enjoying a class schedule specially scheduled for the convenience of commuting students. This flexibility allows everyone to fully participate in campus life while still being able to get to jobs and fulfill other family and personal obligations.
Sound good? It is! But seeing is believing, so don’t wait...
