Do you have a passion for music? Do you enjoy watching and critiquing TV and films? Have you ever stopped and wondered what actually goes into the making of all of the media surrounding us? Are you interested in TV production careers and other broadcast-related professions? If so, the Broadcast Technology program at Lincoln College of New England (LCNE) may be your perfect fit!
Broadcast Technology classes teach you to write, produce and edit content for TV, radio and audio media. When you graduate you’ll hold an Associate’s Degree and will have built valuable hands-on experience using industry standard recording and editing software from the Avid line of products.
In our Audio Production classes, Avid Pro Tools ® is used to record and edit sound files. Many of your favorite songs from your favorite artists have been recorded and edited with this software. Learning on this software will give you insight and perspective on all that it takes to make a recording sound full, rich and polished for public consumption.
In our Video Production and Editing classes, you will be learning on the Avid Media Composer ® software. Blockbuster movies such as The Martian and Star Wars: The Force Awakens have been edited using Media Composer. While taking the video production courses, LCNE students shoot high definition video and edit learn to use light and color to effectively express creativity. While editing, you will also learn how to tell a story using transition and sequence.
