The Mortuary Science Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree at Lincoln College of New England is designed to prepare the graduate for an entry-level position in the funeral service field. Training will consist of lecture, laboratory, and experiential learning opportunities. Our comprehensive curriculum addresses various funeral service requirements, including the initial death call to final disposition of human remains.
Lincoln College of New England’s Mortuary Science faculty includes professionals who are actively working in funeral service, and many of our instructors possess decades of hands-on industry experience, which they work to pass onto their students. Our faculty members are proud of the way they take time to truly get to know each individual student.
Mortuary Science students have access to multiple offsite locations to gain practical embalming experience. At the completion of all course work and prior to graduation, students are required to take the National Board Exam.
