Briarwood College’s Dental Administrative Assistant Program prepares you to function effectively as an integral member of the dental health team in the operation of a dental practice. You will learn the administrative procedures currently practiced in dental settings through instruction in the campus dental lab and through internships in private practices. In addition to possessing the specialized skills of a chair-side assistant, the dental administrative assistant is capable of managing appointment scheduling, records, written communication, preventive programs, accounts receivable, dental insurance, expenses, and disbursements. You will be able to work in private dental offices, managed care organizations, long-term care facilities, federal, state and municipal health facilities.
