You can tune into Lincoln College of New England students and alumni on The Pulse, an online radio station broadcasting 24 hours a day. Launched in the fall of 2008, The Pulse features campus-trained Communications and Broadcasting majors as announcers, DJs, newscasters, and sports reporters. Students majoring in other fields are always welcome to become part of The Pulse on-air and behind-the-scenes staff.
Every semester, new students and features are added to match class projects and student interests, so there’s always something new, timely, and fresh on the air!
The Pulse features the past, present, and future of rock, rap, and R&B. Our station features today’s top hit songs mixed with well-known hits from the past four decades, resulting in a surprisingly wide range of music designed to appeal to all.
Besides music, The Pulse adds a variety of talk, sports, and interview features many hours of the day, and is targeted to reach anyone interested in student activities and happenings at our three Lincoln College of New England campuses.
Music on The Pulse is selected by trained media students and broadcast faculty to create a mass appeal music mix, so there’s a consistent sound no matter when you tune in. Students are applying skills they learn in classes at Lincoln College of New England to their work on The Pulse, providing them with a greater range of job opportunities at companies looking for those with talent in communicating a message to a mass audience.
